For a few weeks now I've been searching for a set of snow tires, and after extensive research I've narrowed it down to the pirelli winter ice directional and the michelin xm+s alpin (185/ 60r 14).

My driving style is quite agressive so I don't know which tire brand will satisfy my needs. I've read the consumer reports Nov issue and apparently the Michelins are the best overall. Is this true?

Basically I'm looking for a tire which has excellent snow/slush/ice traction with good handling on wet and dry roads. Lets not forget thread wear and noise is also a factor.

It would be much appreciated if someone can give some feedback on either the pirelli or michelin. Thanks...........

Mike.
