If it were only for around town/highway driving, I'd have absolutely no problem recommending Bridgestone Blizzak's for you. I've run them for three years now, and I've passed off 4WD Jeeps at 55mph, and such in 6+ inches of snow like they were standing still. It must have really freaked them out to see that I had Florida plates on my car (I just moved back to NY). But since you are racing, I'd take a look at the Nokian Hakkapellitas, supposedly they offer a better controlled slide than the Bridgestone's. There was an article that compared them in either Road and Track or Car and Driver about 2 winters ago.
