I drive a '96 Mustang GT with 245/45X17 tires which need to be replaced. One economical alternative is Dunlop's SP4000 A/S ($148/tire and rated Z speed, A/A, 300). Another option is BFG T/A HR4-2 ($125/tire and rated H,A/A, 360). The car was originally fitted with Goodyear ZR Gatorbacks ($175/tire and rated Z, A/A, 220). How will the two compare to each other for performance and ride? Thank you for any and all information you can provide which will assist me in making an educated purchase decision.
