I had a 96 GT and was looking for tires everyone was telling me to go with the Firehawk SZ50 tires but I resisted and went with the Goodyear F1, when they wore out I decided to try the firestones. They were the most responsive, quietest, and best riding tire I have ever had on a sports car. If they made the sz50 tire in a run flat I would have them on my corvette in an instant.
Don't have any experience with the pirelli tires
