I can't comment on the Pirellis but I have to agree with Frank on the Firestones. My 92 Cougar XR7 came from the factory with 16" Firehawks. They did not last that long in my opinion, their wet traction was awful. I'm in VA, we don't get enough winter weather to justify snow tires. Just a warning - those Firsstones are LETHAL in snow, the only reason I did not wreck is ABS. I really cannot think of a reason why I would ever buy Firestones again.
