looking for feedback on Firestone FT70c vs. Michelin X-one

i'm about to order a pair or tires to put on my mother's aerostar, size 215/70R14. the current tires are Goodyear Regattas, but two of them have started to bulge and split and i was never impressed with the tires enough to spring for the pro-rated difference.

i'm confident that the X-one is a good product but am concerned that the ride will be more wooden than the ranger based suspension can smother. the FT70cs on the other hand i have no experience with, but the tire rack and my local tire retailer swear by 'em. i'd appreciate any feedback you might offer; the van's immobile till i get this sorted out.

p.s. would the rainforce be a happy medium?
