Dear LMNO, They still have not solved the darn problem. I have 19,000 mi on my 1996 Volvo, same model number as yours, and have two worn tires, probably starting at about 15,000 mi. The dealer says he does have some tires coming in worn like this. A tire dealer said the original tires are made for the, get this (audubon) so they wear down more quickly. Who's the bigger liar? Now we are into replacing the rack and pinion - but of course, this has no effect on the tires. Right!!!! Have you gotten any satisfaction?
