I have a 1996 Volvo 850 Turbo Wagon. I too hit the occasional pothole or bump out
here in Oregon. The tires are most certainly not well suited for this, although I
have nearly 39,000 miles on the car and I am just getting ready for new tires due
to normal wear. In my case it's me that gets jarred around.

However, I have to say that with the turbo and the tires, the car sticks to mountain
roads like glue. There is one mountain pass with a two lane road that I love to drive
on. At night, with ice and/or fog, it's nice to know that the car will do it's best
to stick to the road. I think this was also mentioned in this months Road & Track
with the C70. These tires give a stiff ride, but do well on the skid pad.
