The pirelli tire mentioned above is an excellent choice. I can say this because I have them on one of my cars. I suggest a touring tire. I would not go with any of the others on the list mostly because they are not very popular and when it comes time to replace them you will have a hard time finding the same ones. With the pilrellis at least you know that they are extremelt large any you should not fear them not being around when you need a replacement tire. Another premium touring tire out there is the Goodyear Eagle GA. This tire comes standard on many new cars. Keep in mind this also carries a premium price. You have to keep in mind that the longer the tread life, most of the times means a harder rubber meaning not as good traction. Also, you get what you pay for.. In my opinion, the pirelli P400 is your best bet.
