Rims leek??

I just came from having a tire looked at and they told me the rim leaks and that's why the tire keeps going flat. This makes perfect sense, but I wanted to make sure. What is the common after market price range on a Honda Civic '91 rim? They gave me the name of a place to go, but Saturday's in San Francisco are not a good time to go looking for auto repair downtown.
