I have experienced both Michelins and yoko's.. the michelin in my book is the better tire for winter driving. the yoko avidt4 just does'nt cut it in stopping power like the michelin. The wear rating on the michelin is about 400 if i'm not mistaken, that explains the hard ride as well as the great mileage (i had 150,000 KMs on mine) the yoko is rated at about 325 (give or take) better ride, quieter, great on dry, okay on wet, lousy on snow...
