Tire replacement - sizing question

Tire rookie question --Replacing all four 235-75-r15's on my Pathfinder with Michelin LTX M/S's. Is it set in stone that I replace these with the same size? Just wondered after seeing some previous posts. What would be the advantages/disadvantages of changing tire sizes? Thanks! Mike
