That facetiousness aside, tire technical information will often quote a "measured rim width" which simply means that that was the rim upon which the tire was measured. There will often be a range of "acceptable rim widths" which as its name implies is the range of rim widths that the manufacturer deems to be acceptable for a tire's use. 7", I'm sure, will be well within the acceptable parameters. In fact, 6.5" (I would guess) would be optimum for that tire and on that vehicle.
