I own a 850T5R with 17' Titanium wheels.
Original equipment was Pirelli PZero in 205/45/17.
I use now Bridgestone Potenza S02 in 215/40/17 and it works VERY well even on wet roads, (in Belgium we are rain specialists), but it's a lot expensive.
Another solution is to buy 205/50/16 Volvo wheelsfor the winter and place Pirelli winter 210 assymetrico on it.Those Pirelli's are also excellent on rain.
In fact that's what i do, and it is very safe.
