!995 Volvo 850 Turbowgn. class action tire/wheel lawsuit

I have a 1995 Volvo 855 T-5r that is constantly blowing the sidewalls of the Pirelli Assymetricos.
I just spoke to Volvo and they informed me of a class action lawsuit for the 1994-95 turbos.
The 17" wheels look great but can't stand up to even the smallest of road problems without bending
the rim or blowing a tire. Volvo recommends going to a 16" wheel with a 205 55/16 Michelin MXV.
When I did a search for that tire it shows the it is a touring tire. Will handling and performance
compromised? I have already purchased a new set of 15" wheels with Blizzaks for the winter season.
Any advice out there? Class action lawsuit 1-888-811-0386.
