Can you suggest a good summer tire for my 1995 Audi S6 quattro?
The car can be quite peppy with th 227hp, so I want to get a high performance tire, but still get some mileage out of them.
I currently have winter tires on the vehicle... blizzak 225/50R16 Q m+s with alloy rims.
I have been looking for a tire that will last longer than a Z(30k), but still perform well.
I don't think I need a Z since I only travel in triple digits occasionly, live in cool New England, and stay in the 80's on the highway.
The tires I have been considering are V's and H's.
Falken Ziex 225/50R16 H are my first choice so far. Dunlop D60A2's also looks good. Should I look at any others?
I have been using the UTQG number to get a feel for mileage on unrated tires. Can I compare tires made by different companies with this number?
Also, should I care whether or not it is a directional tire?
Thanks,
Dan
