SZ50 said (by Firestone dealers, natch--but the two companies are now joined, so maybe they're right...) to be built on essentially same carcass/design as Bridgestone 02 (some say side-by-side @ Bridgestone factory).. See most recent Automobile mag tire for comparo for what they thought of S02, F1 and others (except SZ50)...both of which ended up in "...The Rest" category. On top BFG g-Force T/A KD, Dunlop SP 9000s, and Michelin MXX3s. They used a 98 Mustang Cobra SVT as the test car. Have heard v.g. things about SZ50 tho for a lot less $ than S02....Reason for SZ50 exclusion from test MAY have been someone like the Tire Rack's leaving them out of the "Ultra-High Perf category for some reason (tho they're very high on them also), and the magazine comparo was for "Ultra High..." They may have used their (TR's) website as one basis for what tires to include in the test (??) ....dunno.
