I don't know if you can put a 215 on a 6" wide rim. If the tire is too big you will get premature wear on the tires. As for affects on the car, you may feel more tire wander when going to the 215 but ride quality shouldn't be different. I went up two sizes with the factory rims and liked the appearance improvement. As long as it fits, I would say go with the 215.
