The D40M2, Dunlop is not out of production. The number of size offerings has been reduced over the last few years, giving way to the SP8000. Both would be your best choices for what they offer, your comparison of the value/cost differences are accurate and should be considered. Dunlop has introduced a new tire, The SP9000 which will take the position of the SP8000 as the bets in the line up. Have you checked the cost of the SP8000 recently?
