Replacement Tires for 95 Civic EX

After trying to read through this list (almost impossible!) I've decided to just post my request for some tire Help.

I'm trying to decide which tires to get for my wife's 95 civic ex coupe. I definately want to upgrade from the OEM junk to more of a performance all season tire. But she drives this car most of the time and I would like something more on the Safety side. So here is my criteria (in order of importance):


Wet traction
noise
handling
tread life
light to moderate snow handling(live in Chicago area)

So far I've heard good things about the Yoko Avid's, Falken Ziexs(don't know about snow though). How about BFG Touring T/A's or the Pirelli P4000's.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
