My parents just installed a set of SH-30's on their Altima. Here's my experience on my
500 mile trip to Conneticut and back, including everything from city driving, to highway,
to windy, up and downhill mountain roads. I find they are very quiet on the highway, their
cornering was pretty good (especially considering the fact that the car needed 4 new
struts), but I found the braking to be horrible, either that or the braking in my 240sx
is just *that* much better. I'm really not sure which it is, but a decent tire all around.
I personally have a set of P6000's (3-season version), and they're also very quiet with
good dry traction, excellent wet traction, and excellent braking (according to Tire Rack,
almost as good as the P-Zero's, if you can believe that). I would recommend these if you
didn't want an all-season, but if you do, the SH-30's should be good, plus you can return
them within 30 days if you don't like them.
excellent wet traction.
