'92 civic vx replacement tires

I'm looking to replace the oem tires on my civic vx, they are 165/70/13. What are the consequenses of going to a larger tire such as 175/70/13? Will it make a noticeable diff?

Also what brand, I saw some Yokohama AVID Touring that looked good! Any experiences or suggestions?
