You might want to try Nokian Tyres. I currently have the Hakka 1's (185 60R14's) which are pure snow tires and quite excellent. They wear slowly and give excellent snow traction. Nokian sell a variety of tires from winter performance to pure snow traction. The best snow tires I've had though are blizzacks by bridgestone. Their only fault was quick wear (17k miles) good luck,
