Yokohama AVS SZ4 or Firestone SZ50

I have a 95 Z-28 and I can`t decide which of these two tires I should purchase. Both have a decent treadwear rating(300AA and 220AA) respectively but I prefer the tread pattern on the SZ50 better.
I have heard conflicting reports on which tire is better (defective Firestone SZ50 posted by Greg 5/14/97
and Firestone SZ50 posted by S. Lissner 10/08/96). Does anyone else have any opinions, good or bad on either of these tires? Thanks.
