A few years ago I installed a Yokohama tire on my 84 Spyder and loved them.
The model, as I recall, was called something "Intermediate". I'm very sensitive
to the handling of cars at 9 to 10 tenths,(in racing terms)
and can strongly recommend this brand.
I came by these tires in an adjustment of some "old stock" A001s sold as new
by an unscrupulous dealer. Yokohama replaced 5 year old tires out of their
own pocket for essentially shipping costs to me. And the new tires were
excellent.
