I replaced the tires on my'93 Civic EX about a year ago with 185/60-14
Michelin MXV4's, and what a difference they made. I live in south Florida
where the rain can be quite heavy. I drove down to Key West The weekend
after I bought them and could not believe how well they resisted hydroplaning
During a heavy downpour on the way back home. With the original "Bridgestone"
RE90's, I would have to be extra cautious. But the MXV4's were great. On dry
roads the handling is also much improved. The thing I think I like the best
about them is the straight line tracking. I noticed that right away. I felt
that the car would go perfectly straight when I would briefly let go of the
wheel. They cost a little more, but the level of confidence I have with them
greatly outweighs the slight price difference. I paid about $80.00 a tire.
Good Luck!
