Before we get to the interior, let's start at the surface. The I30 is a perfect example of automotive heredity. One look and you can tell it comes from a prestigious family of luxury cars. Elegant lines and distinguished styling that bears a striking resemblance to its brother, the Q45. And like its bigger brother, the I30 shares the intelligence of the Infiniti line in combining luxury and performance.
The exterior body panels of of the I30 are constructed of DURASTEEL®. This patented metal features 50% more rust-resistant plating thickness than conventional galvanized steel. Before the primer and paint are applied, the panels are laser-etched to remove any imperfections and create an extremely smooth finish.
The panels then undergo Infiniti's 3-coat/3-bake painting process, during which the entire body of the I30 is dipped into enamel and baked to a hard finish. This process is repeated three times. The entire car is then sprayed with a cross-linking clearcoat* paint.
*Cross-linking clearcoat available on dark colors only.
