I am putting LTX M/S on my Explorer this weekend. Costco, which used to be Price Club puts these on for $90 per tire + $7.00 per tire for install, balance, road hazard, and disposal. I am replacing Firestone Radials. The Firestone's get very poor wet road and gravel traction, but I did buy the vehicle used, and tread is only about 3/16". I went with the LTX M/S based on the responses I read here regarding improved handling. I considered the AT's but was told at the store that the M/S shoudl have better wet traction. My Explorer will certainly see wet roads more often than snow or gravel.
