I have a stupid question

Hello

I need some help.  I had P225/75R15 tires on my Jeep Cherokee Sport.  I just put on P225/70R15 and they are fine except when I turn the steering to its max limits.  That is when they rub on the underbody guard(not sure what the term is)..  Anyway I thought the tires would be the same width so I would be ok?   But apparently the height/width ratio is different??? Or should I even worry about it since I rarely turn that sharply. Or should I be mad at the company who assured me the tires would fit correctly?
