Doug,
I drive 20-25K miles a year, and autocrossed a Jetta and Civic for several years. The BEST
dry/wet tire I ever owned was the Yoko A509. It beat every Goodyear, Michelin and Pirelli
I've owned before or since. Just don't plan on going anywhere in the snow - the Civic
was stranded with anything more than an inch on the ground. You can expect to get 20-30K
miles out of the tire, depending on how aggressive you drive. That may not sound like much,
but wet traction is as much a function of the tire's compound as the tread pattern.
