I tend to think I know a little bit about tires, but what I dont get is how companies base their section widths. For instance I'm looking at the super swamper TSL's. Size is 13/33 r16. That means the section width should be approximately 13 inches, give or take a wee bit on rim width correct? I looked at specs on the tire and it gave a measuring rim width of 16 X 10, and the width is only 12.3! A whole 3/4 of an inch differance. Why would they call it a 33 X 13, if the width doesnt even measure out to be a 33 X 12 1/2, for the love of Pete.
