Q: Why will these auto dealers honor their AUTOPEDIA® Recommended Dealer agreement?.
A: Because they want to sell more cars, pure and simple. The car business is absolutely the most competitive market in the world. There are so many dealers selling the same product, that any "consumer difference", no matter how minute, can make a big difference. Which is why dealers will do anything to get an edge over their competitors - including being pro-consumer. The dealers that recognize consumer demands and fulfill those demands BEFORE their competitors, will succeed - those that don't, won't.

Q: What happens if a dealer violates their AUTOPEDIA® Recommended Dealer agreement?.
A: That dealer will be removed from the AUTOPEDIA® Recommended Dealer Directory and the violation will be investigated and depending upon the nature of the violation, that dealer may face disciplinary actions ranging from reinstatement, to compensating the consumer, to suspension, to permanently losing his AUTOPEDIA® Recommended Dealer designation.

Q: Come on, don't dealers just pay AUTOPEDIA® to say this stuff?
A: AUTOPEDIA® has been on the Internet since 1995, and has earned the respect and trust of consumers worldwide. Here are just a few of the books, magazines, TV and radio shows, libraries and schools that use AUTOPEDIA® as a trusted automotive information resource. Q: How come there are no AUTOPEDIA® Recommended Dealers in my area?
A: Either the dealers haven't applied to become AUTOPEDIA® Recommended Dealers or we simply haven't reached your market yet. AUTOPEDIA® conducts its screening and investigation process on an individual basis and considers the qualifications of each prospective dealer carefully.

Q: Can I nominate a dealer that I think should be an AUTOPEDIA® Recommended Dealer?
A: Yes, definitely. Independent consumer responses are one of the primary sources we use for locating AUTOPEDIA® Recommended Dealers.
