I used Aquatreads for a number of years on a Mazda 323 and got improved handling esp. on wet roads, better mileage and I COULD NOT be stopped by snow. They got my family home in the east coast blizzard a couple of years ago. I put them (Aquatread II's) on my wife's '95 Camry and they also perform relatively well compared to the OEM tires.
