Which Winter Tires for Ford Aerostar AWD?

I would appreciate help in selecting winter tires for my '95 Aerostar AWD.
Living in southeastern BC, we are exposed to the full range of winter weather, i.e. snow, black ice, slush, you name it!
The original equip. is P215/70 R14 (Michelin XW4)
I have a 2nd set of 14" rims for Winter use only.
Is there any problem in fitting P205/75 R14 for winter?
Any recommendations for a good set of tires at a moderate price?
What are your thoughts on BFG Trailmaker for one?
