I drive a Thunderbird SC, using Hakka snow tires. The size is 185/15, compared to the 225/16 Mihcelins
I use in summer. I have tried Alpins, and find that the Hakka is a) noisier b) less adhesive on ice
c) better in mid to deep snow (better self-cleaning tread) d) has a tighter sidewall with less handling loss
in aggressive driving e) sharper 'break away' characteristics (the Michelin provides more sense of progressive traction
loss f) equally good on clear but wet pavement g) gives significantly more tread life than the Michelin.
The price comparison favours the Michelin - my experience favours the Hakkian.
