Excellent tires...IF! IF you want any car you own to emulate a buick. IF you only drive in the dry. IF you don't want handling. Get the drift? And I'm talking the new and improved MXV4 Plus (on a 99 Passat).

IF you want a more athletic, and cheaper, all-season tire, look into the Dunlop D60 A2, which I had on a Saab 9000T and loved, even in light snow. Or...I heard good things about the Pirelli 7000SS in dry and rain; too new for snow buzz.

Lastly, IMHO, speed ratings are over-rated. Don't buy a higher speed rating than OEM -- who needs the ride harshness.
