I know that going to a wider tire reduces fuel mileage and that going to a taller tire improves mileage a bit but does anyone know of a formula that will tell me at what point taller and wider cancel each other out? I have a customer that wants to replace his stock 30 x 9 tires on his pickup with 35 x 11.5 and is very concerned about lost fuel economy but not the fact that the speedo will be off. He wants actual numbers or a tangable formula.
