I have the Dueler HT Bridgestones. They come in both P and LT, which are heavier. I have the LT in 235/75 R 15.
The only tires I have to compare them to are the ones that came on the truck, which were nearly bald super-cheap P tires -- Dayton Thorobreds. The van was supposed to have XL - extra loads -- but it had SL standard loads on it.
I thought the Thorobreds were ok on twisty highways.
I was going to get the Dunlop Radial Rover ATs but my salesman steered me to the BS H/Ts.
They are amazing compared to the Thorobreds. At speeds where the T's felt like they were really cornering the H/Ts are just going around a turn at walking speed. They take less of a turn of the steering wheel.
Ride: they hit a sharp bump a little harder but are much nicer on washboard surfaces.
Rain: I don't know yet -- it's a dry summer.
Off road: It's nice to know I can do light off-road duties with them.
And they have a 60,000 mile treadwear warrantee at the dealer you buy them at. I had to pay $8 extra to get a nationwide roard hazard and mileage warrantee that's good at all Tire Pros.
