It is unfortunate that you can not except reality. As David stated it is common industry practice to turn the w/w in on non-performance tires and he is 100% technically correct.

As a succesful businessman you can appreciate the duality of the product since it only needs to be manufactured once yet serves two consumer applications. In addition this business principle cuts manufacturing and distribution costs in half.

There is no busy quandry just good business sense.

btw.... what tire are you interested in and for what auto?

we could solve your problem very quickly with specifics.
