Spoke to a Costco manager in the SF Bay Area, their profit margin is between 4-14%. That's
all! The retail stores say they match prices,but get you through excessive service charges -
$12-15 Balance/ tire(not lifetime),road hazard $5-12/tire,Tire stem $1.25-3.00,Disposal $2.50-5.oo
and they won't let carry out (bare tires w/o the above services)COSTCO ONLY CHARGES $7.00,$1.00
FOR DISPOSAL ,Hope this helps... I know they have
to make a living, Give us a Break!
