Can I replace P205 with LT235 on 98 S-10

I live in rural Manitoba and need better load carrying and winter traction from my tires. Would it be OK to replace my P205 Uniroyals on my 2wd S-10 with more agressive LT 225 or 235's. Say Goodyear Wrangler or similiar. What problems could it cause. Thanks for any feedback.
