I don't know if this thread is cold yet, but I'll post anyway. The all-season got an excellent review in Automotive magazine several months back. CR also gave it good marks as a three-season tire. Very bad in snow, as can be confirmed in other older posts somewhere down in that huge pile of posts.

I bought a set for New ENgland driving, as I also have snows on rims. The 6000 SV's are fine tires. I'm very happy with them from all angles on a '95 passat VR6 sedan. Quiet, tight cornering, good wet traction, responsive. I priced the other 6000's also. Very expensive vs. the $75 I paid for the all-season model at TireRack.
