Michelin Tire Co. who owns Michelin, Uniroyal, and BfGoodrich (there major companies) do do computer generated test for the first test.
after they are pleased with that test they do test on the road under all driving conditions. For instance the Michelin Zero Pressure tire was
tested last on the cabs in L.A. (California) to test its Z-Pressure capabilities (tested on 1,000 cabs.) The same was basically done with the
Michelin X-Ones in New York I believe. And the same goes for all the tires they produce.
