I don't know much about the nitto tires. A 255/45/17 is going to be a little bit taller tire and a little bit wider tire.. 45 is a percentage of 255. and 45% of 245 is going to be a little less than 45% of 255. that is 255 mm. resulting in a wider and taller tire. You'd probably want to go to a 255/40zr17. As far as performance. The pirelli is going to give you a stiffer ride than the Goodyear Eagle F1 but optimum control. Again I don't know to much about nitto tires but I assume the same about that tire also.
