You could buy a torque wrench to check if you like. But why not be proactive? There are good mechanics out there. Find the one who enjoy's the work. He usually cares about the quality also. Also helps to talk to the mechanic before he works on your car. Put a face with the car. People don't take the time anymore to establish a repore with others then they complain about not getting personal service. Take the time and you will see an immediate improvement on the overall quality of service you receive.
And no I'm not a dealer or mechanic just a believer that positive attitudes pay off in the long run!
