Being a novice I would like to know why you say the X-ones are a smoother riding tire than other standard touring radials? I have heard that they are quite harsh riding and the reason is exactly the reason the give a lifetime warantee on the tire. They are made with a harder compound and they put more rubber in the tire to accomplish this. Is this true? Also I would like to know why Michellin doesn't rate any of their tires as standard touring, only all season or Grand touring? Any info would be very helpful.
