How's Pirelli P6000 Sport Veloce?

Looking to buy Volvo C70 convertible- comes standard w/ Pirelli P6000 Sport Veloce 205/55/R16- Is there much better performance from getting the 17 inch P6000 Veloces option. I don't want too bumpy a ride. For instance,coupes come w/ Michelin MXX3 17s- great performance (Zs) but the Michelins were way too bumpy for me on the coupe. Should I stick with the standard Pirelli P6000 Veloce 16s? I live in L.A.- not going to be in snow!
