I put Michelin XW4 tires on my '92 Camry and after 35,000 miles of mostly highway driving the tread is hardly used. It's the best riding tire I have ever had (I've used Dunlop, Toyo, and Good year before) and stearing response is quite good. When they were first put on the car the ride was so "soft" that I thought the tires were underinflated. To my surprise there was 36 lbs of air inside!
