I don't have an answer for you but I have been considering similar alternatives. By the way, keep in mind that the Michelin XGT Z4 is an older tire than the Michelin Pilot XGT Z4--at least that's what I have been told by a tire dealer. I tend to believe this because the XGT Z4 had a UTQ of 220 while the Pilot XGT Z4 has a UTQ of 300. Also, the price for the Pilot is higher. Have you considered the Dunlop SP9000? I heard good things about it.
