Our 95 Avalon XLS came with P205/65R15 92H tires.
They have lasted 31.5k miles.
I have been on the internet and several tire manufacturers recommend
T rated tires for our 1995 Avalon XLS instead of H rated.
Several tire stores and my local Toyota service personel have suggested
that we go to a T rated tire instead of H rated. They say that for
non-aggressive driving, the T rated (with all other parameters being
equal) will typically last longer and give a smoother ride. I am
concerned about the wet weather performance.
What are the the pros and cons of getting T rated tires versus H rated
tires on our Avalon, assuming other specifications except tread wear,
and perhaps temperature remain the same? Any suggestions on which tire
to get would be appreciated.
